Cisco Phones
Voicemail Setup
*all new users must setup their voice mailbox from their phone for the first time to establish a pin and a greeting.
To set up your voicemail for the first time:
- Press the Messages button or
- Enter pin 12345 and press #
- You will be prompted to:
- Setup your pin.
- Record your name.
- Record your extended greeting.
Checking Messages
At your desk
- Press the Messages button or
- Enter your pin and press #.
Away from your desk at another extension
- Press the Messages button or
- Press *
- Enter your ID (Extension).
- Enter your pin and press #.
From an external location
- Dial 817-515-1000
- Enter your ID (Extension)
- Enter your pin and press #.
Change your PIN (password)
- Press the Message button or and log on.
- Press 4 > 3 > 1.
- Enter a new PIN (password) and press #.
- Enter the new PIN (password) again to confirm it and press #.
Change your Recorded Name
- Press the Message button or and log on.
- Press 4 > 3 > 2.
- At the tone, record your name, press # to end recording, or press * to keep the current recording.
Record a Greeting
- Press the Message button or and log on.
- Press 4 >1 > 1.
- After Cisco Unity plays your current greeting, press 1 to re-record it, or press 3 to record a different greeting, choose the greeting, and then re-record it.
Enable or Disable a Greeting
Note: You can enable or disable only your alternate greeting by phone
- Press the Message button or and log on.
- Press 4 > 1 > 1.
- After Cisco Unity Connection plays your current greeting, press 2 to enable or disable your alternate greeting.
Note: When your alternate greeting is enabled, it overrides all other greetings.
Express Messaging
To dial directly to another employee’s Cisco voicemail:
- Dial 51021
- After prompt, enter the extension.
- Leave message.
Microsoft Outlook (Single Unified Mailbox)
By default, when a voicemail is left, you will receive an email message containing your voicemail.
