What is the TCC Service Center and its two main components, the Service Desk and the Knowledge Base?

The TCC Service Center, housed in TeamDynamix or TDX, is a central platform for service management and knowledge management, located at https://service.tccd.edu/TDClient/30/Portal/Home/. It is divided into two major categories: the Services side, where the user can submit a service ticket, and the Knowledge Base, where the user can search knowledge articles.

The Services side is best used to make requests or report issues by submitting service tickets. These service tickets are routed to the appropriate users or departments to fulfill service requests. For example, you may wish to request a new device or report an issue with software.

The Knowledge Base side allows users to locate or share knowledge articles so that they may better understand a process or procedure, troubleshoot common problems, or establish best practices. For example, you may want to learn how to set a meeting in MS Teams, or brush up on email security tips.

The Service Base and Knowledge Base work together so that users have access to information and services from all departments across TCC from one convenient, central location.
