My display name in Canvas has my last name twice.

 

If a user includes their last name in the Chosen Name field when applying for admission, the Display name in Canvas will show the last name twice.

How To Resolve...

The user will need to complete a Record Change Request to fix the name in the ERP system.

Steps To Implement

1. Verify the issue is the Chosen Name Field. In Colleague, navigate to the BIO: Biographic Information screen to review the Chosen LFM field.
2. Confirm that the user has a chosen name and last name in the Chosen First Name field.

3. Instruct the user to visit the record change request page on the website: https://www.tccd.edu/services/district-admissions-records-office/record-change-request/ and fill out the record maintenance form and submit it from their myTCC email to academic.records@tccd.edu.
