Guide Topic
You do not have a mobile device, you left your mobile device at home or you prefer not to use your mobile device for Multi-factor Authentication.
Instead of using a mobile device for authentication you will use a "Temporary Access Pass."
You will also be prompted for MFA when using a VDI device or VDI online http:\\cloud.tccd.edu to access your VDI "Workspace."
Getting Started
Follow the steps in this document to access and use a Temporary Access Pass (TAP).
1. Call the 24/7 Help Desk at 817-515-8324 (TECH) to request a “Temporary Access Pass.”
- The Help Desk will verbally give you the 8-digit TAP.
- The Temporary Access Pass is case sensitive.
- The TAP is unique and is active for 30 days for those students who do not have a mobile device. On the 29th-30th day if you still need a TAP, call the Help Desk to request a new TAP.
- Provide a personal email address and the Help Desk will email your Temporary Access Pass and the expiration date of the TAP.
- You cannot use your TCC email address to recieve the TAP
- If you are unable to call the Help Desk on a personal device, we have phones available at each campus for you to use to request a TAP. You can locate the phones at the following locations:
