How to Trigger Local Windows Autopilot Reset on Library Surface Go’s

A Local Windows Autopilot Reset is a two-step process: trigger it and then authenticate. Once you've done these two steps, you can let the process execute. Once it is done, the device will be ready for use.

Trigger Local Autopilot Reset

  1. From the Windows lock screen, enter the keystroke: CTRL + Windows Key + R.

These keystrokes will open a custom login screen for the local Autopilot Reset. The screen will

confirm/verify that the end user has the right to trigger Local Autopilot Reset

  1. Sign in with the admin account credentials (_A Account).  Once the local Autopilot Reset is triggered, the reset process starts. Once provisioning is complete, the device is ready for use.
