Configuring your Microsoft Authenticator options

If you have already configured your @tccd.edu account for VDI you do not need to proceed with these instructions.

Now that your account has been added to the Office365 applications and Single-Sign on apps for MFA you will now receive additional prompting at your workstation.

Run THE URL shown below from: Chrome “Incognito Window”, Edge (New Private Window) or Firefox (New Private Window) – DO NOT USE INTERNET EXPLORER

Step 1: How Should we Contact you?

 

Follow the “Configure mobile app” steps, shown below in screenshot, to install the Microsoft Authenticator App on your phone

Use your Phone app to add account

Choose work or school account (this might vary according to your phone manufacturer)

Choose Scan a QR code

Use your Mobile device to scan the QR code which appears on your monitor

Your TCCD account will be added on your phone

Click the Next button on your screen

 

Step 2: Lets make sure that we can reach you on your Mobile App device

You should get an approval prompt on your phone

Press approve on your mobile device

This completes the Mobile App Authenticator setup

 

Step 3: In case you lose access to the mobile app

 

Step 4: Add office phone as additional methods

Navigate to your security info page

Click + Add method

Choose Office phone from drop list

Click Add

 

Enter office number

Use call me option and click next

You should receive a phone call from microsoft, at your office phone to verify, press the # key to complete verification

You have completed the secondary method
