Adobe Creative Cloud: Error: "You don't have access to manage apps"

Sometimes when installing Adobe Creative Cloud and opening the Desktop Application, one may receive the error:



This can be resolved by changing an .xml file associated with Adobe.

Steps To Implement

  1. Close Adobe Creative Cloud
    1. You may have to go through Task Manager and kill the process "Creative Cloud (32 bit)".
  2. Open File Explorer and Navigate to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\Configs
  3. Open "ServiceConfig.xml" in Notepad
  4. Change: 
    • <panel><name>AppsPanel</name><visible>false</visible></panel> to <panel><name>AppsPanel</name><visible>true</visible></panel>
  5. Save the File on the Desktop
  6. Drag the newly Created File on the desktop into the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\Configs and replace the original file.
  7. Reboot
  8. Open up Adobe Creative Cloud; The issue should no longer persist.
