Create OSD Stick in SCCM

Instructions, Steps, or Information

You must be logged into the SCCM console with your _A account. Use the Configuration Manager application; YOU CANNOT USE THE WEB VERSION OF SCCM

Log in with your _A

Attach the USB intended for OSD reimaging

Open configuration manager

Bottom left, Select Software Library

Select Operating systems from the list of items on the screen

On the far left, right-click Task sequences and select “create task sequence media”

Select bootable media

Select site-based media

Select removable USB drive, ensure you the correct drive is selected and check mark “format removable USB drive”

Include autorun.inf file on media and click next

Click “yes” on dialog box

Ensure “Enable unknown computer support” is checked

Uncheck “Protect media with a password”

Click “import PKI certificate” and hit the browse button

The path to the certificate is \\dfs.all.disttccd.net\all]sccm\sccm-osd\ds\district\cert\CMTSM2020

NOTE: certificate name and path could change. As of 04/2021 this is the path and cert name

Once the file is located and you hit okay, input password: ***I have not provided the password in this document for security reasons. Contact Dana Acly***

Select yes on the following message “the certificate you specified is already in use”

Boot Image: select Boot image (x64)

Distribution Point: select your campus (i.e NWTC.DISTTCCD.NET = northwest)

Management Point: TRTC112.DISTTCCD.NET

Hit next on the following screens and the process will start.
