How to reboot a Veilux Camera System Camera

These steps are primarily for the Veilux Camera System in the classrooms and labs at the Trinity River East Campus.
When a Veilux camera goes offline or wont focus, it may be necessary to reboot the camera.
You must launch the DVR Viewer and get into the software application where the cameras are displayed.
When prompted, fill in the appropriate security account number 1.
Once inside the application, locate the camera window where a camera is not responding. There will be a red number in the upper left corner displaying which camera number you are looking at.
Once you have determined which camera to reboot, you will need to gain access to the joystick that controls the camera.
You will select this number and then push cam to access that camera window. In this example you would push (1, Cam).
Once you have selected the camera window, enter (95, Pre). This will open the cameras menu in the window.
Toggle down to the Reboot System option by using the joystick.
Once reboot system is selected, push the Open button on the joystick to enter your command.
This will reboot the camera. Use the joystick to go down to EXIT and push open again to exit the menu. The camera reboot will often bring back control of the camera and focus options.
