How to troubleshoot classroom audio signal
Steps To Implement
- Check the cables and connections – make sure the cable you use is connected properly and solidly.
- Check to make sure you have selected the correct input button on the control panel for your connection type.
- Check on the control panel for the audio Mute button status. Toggle the Mute button to unmute the audio.
- Check the computer volume status, whether it need to increase or decrease, mute, or unmute.
Problem
Everything connected properly but audio does not work.
Solution
Step 1: Open the computer audio settings by Right-click on the Speakers icon on the left side of the Windows 10 taskbar, and then from the pop-up menu on this icon select Sounds. The Sound Dialog window pop up.
Step 2: Check if the Speakers/Headphones setting is enable or disable. Setting should be Enable for the audio to work. Right click to “Enable” the playback device.
Step 3: If the Extron ScalerD (Intel’s Display Audio) show up as second device audio source, “Disable the Speakers/Headphones” to use the Extron Audio as default.
Step 4: If nothing works, Open the “Device Manager”, Navigate to Sound, video and game controllers, Update the driver or roll back a driver version for “Intel Display Audio and the Realtek Audio” if necessary.
