How to check inventory status in TitleSource360

Instructions, Steps, or Information

Inventory information appears below titles, both in search results and within your carts. If you do not see inventory information in search results or within your carts, see Adjusting Account Settings to View Inventory below.

Ideally, titles will have a status of In Stock. Central refers to inventory in the primary warehouse, which will arrive the fastest, and VIP refers to inventory in the publisher’s warehouse, which might take a little longer to arrive (usually a 5-7 day delay).

If you do not think a title will arrive within the desired time frame, you can check the availability of other formats by clicking Check ALT formats below the title information.

Adjusting Account Settings to View Inventory

To adjust account settings, select My Preferences from the My B&T menu.

Then, in the Search Results Viewing Preferences and Cart Viewing Preferences sections of the My Preferences page, select Enhanced View and make sure that the Inventory checkboxes are selected.

After making changes, scroll to the bottom of the page and hit Save

Inventory information should now appear in your search results and within your carts.

Tip 1: Filtering Cart by Inventory Status

Open the cart and look at the Refine Your Search area. Under Inventory, you will see a list of inventory statuses.

There may be a significant delay for titles with a status of Not Available for Shipping. Click on the status to filter the cart.

After filtering the cart, you can view details for each title and see if alternate formats are available. If needed, you can select multiple titles and remove them or move them to another cart.

Tip 2: Check Cart Inventory Tool

When checking inventory, you may also find the Check Cart Inventory action useful. This tool will perform a real-time inventory check on each title in the cart.

Select Manage Carts from the Carts menu.

Then select Check Cart Inventory from the cart’s drop-down menu.

Titles available from the Central warehouse will be marked with a green checkmark, and titles that may have inventory issues will be marked with a red exclamation point.

Note that titles available through a publisher warehouse but not available through the Central (primary) warehouse will be flagged using this method, even though the delay will most likely not be significant.

After switching pages, you may need to select Check Cart Inventory again from the Cart Actions menu for the icons to appear.
