Ordering in Oasis

For Selectors

  1. Go to https://oasis.proquest.com/home and login with your Username and Password:

  1. If you want to work from a list (recommended for several titles or special print collections, and good for ease of access to status updates), go to my Lists & Groups on the top blue ribbon. (You can bypass this step and select titles to be placed directly in a cart to be checked out. For a cart, skip to step. 5.)

  1. From the My lists & groups page, click Create New List on the top left.

  1. A pop-up will appear. Name your list in the Description field (Campus Initials, Selector’s Name, Date, and Circulating Status) and click Save at the top left of the box.

  1. Now you can begin to add titles to your list. Remember that eBooks and print items (print books, dvds, audiobooks) must be put in separate lists, as they go to different users in acquisitions. For best results when searching titles, go to Advanced Search at the top.

  1. For simple searches, enter the title or ISBN you want to find and hit the blue search button. To search for multiple ISBNs at once, type or copy and paste the ISBNs into the ISBN, EAN or ISSN search box with a space separating each entry.

  1. You will get a list of several search results. In this case, we are looking for a Print book that is currently in stock for quicker receiving, so we choose the second option.

  1. Click the 3 dots to the right of the title. When building a list, we will select the Add to list option. (There is the option to Add to Cart for a quicker check out process, as mentioned in step 2. Click Add to cart, click the shopping basket on the top blue ribbon and move to step 11.)

  1. A pop-up will appear. This will give you your list names. Select the list created in step 4. (Note, if you found a title before you created a list, you can create the list here.) Once you’ve selected, or created your list, scroll to the bottom and press the blue Submit button to move the title to the list. (You may want to uncheck the Add Order Info Before Sending box at the bottom and add order info to all your titles when your list is complete.) A green pop-up will let you know your title was successfully moved.

  1. Continue adding titles to the list in this fashion, when your list is complete (it is recommended to add 50 or less titles), go back to the My Lists & Groups button on the top blue ribbon, find your list title, and click it to view the titles that were added.

  1. From your list, click the top left square over the titles to select every title. From here, click the Edit Order Info... button to put in the order info for every item in the list.

  1. A pop-up will appear. Make sure the campus, Location codes, and Item Policies are correct, and enter the list title you created in step 4. (If you are not working from a list, and making a small cart, here, you will create a list title.) Then press the blue save button.

  1. From here, you may wish to download your list in an excel sheet for your records. Hit the down arrow icon on the top right corner of the page. A pop-up will appear where you can specify the criteria you would like to save about each item. Click download, and you will receive the requested information in excel format.

  1. Click the green Express Checkout button on the top left.

  1. Your titles will appear on a new check out page. Click the top left square again to select all titles if anything needs to be edited for all titles.

16. If you have duplicates, please check the “OK order as a duplicate” box so we know that it is intentional to order multiple copies.

17. When ready to submit the list, click the Select All button on the top right. They should be routed to your campus’s ratifier.
