How to open a browser using a "Clean" Mode
Instructions, Steps, or Information
You fail to log-in to a web site. You find that your password has expired so you update the password and try to log-in again. You are still unable to log-in but now you do not know why.
Browsers save information to your device every time you surf the web, fill out online forms, save your log-in credentials.
To log-in to a web site without loading any of the saved information from previous visits you should run the browser in what I call “Clean Browser Mode.”
I have provided print screens of four commonly used browsers showing how to load them without cookies, saved credentials, bookmarks, all the things that can cause log-in issues.
It is especially important when using a "Public Device" that you load browsers in a “clean browser mode.”
You never want to leave any trace of where you have been or what you may have entered.
NOTE: The loading of browsers in a clean mode as shown below allows the user to surf the Web and log into sites without the browser using retained browsing history, temporary Internet files, form data, cookies, and any previously saved credentials.
You will right click on the browser icon and choose the highlighted mode.
