How to Map a Network drive in VDI Workspace.

Steps To Implement

Note: Have your network path to your file shares available before beginning.

  1. At the bottom of your desktop, click the File Explorer icon.

2. In File Explorer, double-click This PC, which is found near the bottom left-hand side of the page

3. Double click the word Computer, which is found near the top left-hand side of the page

4. Click the Map Network Drive icon, which is found in the top, center portion of the page. Click a second time to access a pull-down menu attached to the icon

5.Select Map Network Drive from the pull-down menu on the Map Network Drive icon

6. In the Map Network Drive window, select a letter from the pull-down menu in the box labelled Drive. This is the drive letter you will use for the network folder .

7. In the Folder window, type the path of the network share you were assigned.

(\\servername\sharename) Example: \\customshare\shareddocs

8. Make sure Reconnect at sign-in is checked

9. Click Finish
