MS Outlook: Error CAA50021

Resolve the Issue when launching Microsoft Outlook and getting the error "Something went wrong" - Error Code: CAA50021.

This can be resolved by simply rebuilding the Outlook OST File.

1. Close Outlook.
2. Type into Windows Search “%appdata%” to bring up the App Data Folder
3. Next Click “AppData” in the address bar of file explorer.
4. App Data > Local > Microsoft > Outlook
   
   
    
5. Make Sure  File Extensions are enabled so that the .ost is shown
6. Look for the firstname.lastname@tccd.edu.ost file
   
   
    
7. Right-Click the .ost File and Click re-name
8. Rename .ost to .old (This is to preserve any data)
   
   
    
9. Re-Open Outlook; You may have to Sign-in again and Reauthenticate. It also may take a few minutes after the two-step verification to finish setting up.

Sometimes if you close out of the error the first time, the issue will no longer persist, but only on very rare occasions.
