Install VMware Horizon Client from the Company Portal on TCC Devices
Instructions
Install the Application
- Open the Start menu on your computer
- From the Start menu, type to search, or select Company Portal from the list
- Search the Company Portal application for VMware, click VMware-Horizon Client
- Click Install. Depending on your internet speed, installation typically takes approximately five minutes to complete.
- Once installed, you will see a blue circle with a checkmark as well as the word "Installed."
You do not need to reboot the computer. VMware Horizon Client installation does not require a reboot. Close the Company Portal and follow the instructions below.
Run the Program
- Open a web browser (ex. Chrome, Firefox, Edge). Navigate to cloud.tccd.edu, hit enter to access the VDI environment.
- If you are not signed in automatically, enter your TCC email, click Next. Enter your TCC password, click Sign In. You will be prompted for Multi-Factor Authentication.
- Identify the Employee Desktop icon
- Select the three dots on the lower right-hand side of the Employee Desktop icon
- A sub-menu will appear with additional options. Click Launch from Client
- Check the box to "Always allow tccd.workspaceoneaccess.com to open links of this type in the associated app". Click Open
- You will see the VMware Horizon Client open
- Default setting is for VMware Horizon Client to use all available monitors at fullscreen. Click exit Fullscreen as shown in the picture below to reduce the screen size.
If you want to utilize two monitors you must enter the full screen by clicking Fullscreen.

You also have the option to select a monitor.

- You now have access to a VDI desktop in Horizon Client.

You may receive additional pop-up prompts:
- Drive Sharing: Do you want to share our removable storage and local files...

- Geolocation: Do you want to share your location when using remote desktop...

Click Deny
