24 passwords.
This change enforces the reuse of passwords. You will not be allowed to reuse a password for 24 changes. In combination with item 3 below, this means that you will not be able to reuse a password for 24 iterations x 30 days = 720 days.
150 days.
This is the length of time that any one password can exist. After 150 days of service, the system will require that you change your password and will not allow you access to the network until you have successfully done so.
30 days.
This is the minimum length of time that a password must exist. Without this requirement, a person could change their password 24 times in succession to meet the requirements of item 1 above, thus defeating the purpose/security for having a password reuse policy.
On those occasions where a password has to be reset, the helpdesk staff will be able to override this counter requirement.
12 characters.
This is to encourage passphrases and other easily remembered but not necessarily easy to guess passwords.
Yes, it must meet requirements.
The password complexity requirements are the same as are used in the Colleague/WebAdvisor passwords.
The passwords must be between 12 and 50 characters in length, contain at least 1 upper case Alpha character, contain at least 1 lower case Alpha character and contain at least 1 number.
