Checking for Duplicates in Library Collection

In TitleSource 360, there is a new feature that checks Alma/Primo to see if the item is already in the collection.

In TitleSource 360, on the item details page, click the Product Lookup to the right.

As you can see, this item is not currently in the collection.

It can also be accessed from the search results page.

As you can see, it is already in the collection as an eBook and also in print.

 

Checking for Duplicates in TS360 Carts and Orders

TitleSource 360 allows you to check for duplicates in other carts and orders.

1. First, make sure duplicate checking is turned on and viewable within your account settings.

Click on the My Preferences link under My B&T

In the Search Results Viewing Preferences and Cart Viewing Preferences sections, select Enhanced View and make sure that the Duplicate Check Orders and Duplicate Check Carts checkboxes are selected. 

Scroll down to the Dupe Check Preferences section and make sure that duplicate checking is on and that the settings meet your preferences.

Dupe Check Setting Descriptions: 

  • Duplicate – Carts: My Carts will flag titles that already exist in your carts with a “C.” 
  • Duplicate – Carts: All Carts will flag titles that already exist in any TCC cart with a “C.” 

  • Duplicate – Orders: My Accounts will flag titles that have already been ordered with the accounts to which you have access with an “O.” 

  • Duplicate – Orders: All Accounts will flag titles that have already been ordered with any TCC account with an “O.” 

After making changes, scroll to the bottom of the page and hit Save

2. Duplicates will now be flagged with a “C” and/or “O” in your search results and within your carts. To see more details, click on the “C” or “O.”
