GoReact is a cloud-based video assessment and feedback platform commonly used in education and training. It helps instructors, students, and trainees record, review, and receive feedback on performances.
This tool allows users to:
- Record themselves directly on the platform (e.g., teaching a lesson, giving a presentation) or upload pre-recorded videos.
- Instructors or peers watch the video and leave comments at exact timestamps. Feedback can include text comments, audio notes and video responses.

Steps to Implement
- From the course Navigation menu select Modules.
- Click the “+” button on the top right of your desired module.
- Click on Create Assignment, enter the assignment name, and click on the Add Item button.
- Click on the assignment to open it.
- Click on the “Edit” button to continue configuring your assignment in Canvas.
- Enter the assignment description, and points if it is a graded assignment. NOTE: The points in Canvas need to match the points in GoReact for grade passback to work.
- From the “Submission Type” drop-down menu select “External Tool” and click the “Find” button.
- From the list of external tools select GoReact 1.3 and check the setting “Load this tool in a New Tab”.
- Be sure “Load this tool in A New Tab” is checked.
- Finish entering any additional settings and click “Save”.
- Open the created GoReact assignment, click on the “Load Assignment in a new window” button to finish its configuration in GoReact.
- Select the option to create your activity from a blank form or copy settings from a previous activity or a library template.
- A window will open to finish configuring the assignment, set the Activity Details, Recording Setting and Feedback Settings. Click the Done button to finish.
- The GoReact interface will open. If you need to adjust the activity settings. Click on the three dots next to the assignment name and click on the Edit option.
- When you are done, go back to Canvas and publish the assignment.
